LIFE LESSONS IN 2020

Our life is so dangerous because of a tiny virus wandering outside, who knew this year would become like this, trapped inside our houses and all this.

The pandemic has hit us all very badly and it has been a difficult year for most of us. Some got affected professionally, financially, emotionally while others’ losses cannot even be explained.

From staying at home to studying from home to making new hobbies, we’ve now come to the end of this year.

For better or worse 2020 has changed us. And now, we can see that the lessons we’ve learned about health, family and humanity — are the lessons we’ll carry forward in this year

I wanted to share some of the valuable lessons that this year has taught me.

Life is unpredictable. No matter how well you plan your day, week, month or year, you will never know what is going to happen in the next moment. While entering into this year, we all had better plans for 2020, well, what happened to those? We plan a lot but it’s not necessary that those plans are successfully accomplished.
Seek happiness in simple things. You need the darkness in order for there to be light, and so having everything shut, cancelled and taken away from us has sparked the joy of small and happy moments — the way the sun shines through autumn foliage. A still moment of respite found in drinking coffee, dining with the whole family together became our moments of true happiness this year.
Self-care is a priority, not a privilege. While caring for others, we often tend to forget to care about ourselves. Looking after your own mental health has to come first.

This year has shown us just how much time we can have. Being shut indoors for months at a time required creativity and reigniting some old hobbies to stay entertained. The busy culture bubble popped and we were rewarded with the opportunity to create space for ourselves and find a stillness rarely afforded in modern life. This also gave us an ample amount of time for learning new skills, new languages, new recipes, new crafts etc.

And the most important of all the lessons Don’t forget to praise the lord .

CHEER UP!! WE CAN DO IT!!
